Task
Retrofitting an air handling system with torpedo silencers.
Exposure
The units are large and require the workers to climb into them to work. The unit is round and has no flat surface to stand on. It also has a large cylinder in the center that requires the worker to work over and around it in awkward postures.
Intervention
The workers secured a piece of unistrut to two sides of the unit that provides them a platform to stand on to do their work. The unistrut extends the full length of the unit.
