Task


Installing door frame in a pre-existing wall of channel and drywall.

Exposure


Installation of the jamb requires working in a limited space inside the wall forcing the wrists and hands in an awkward posture while measuring and applying clamps to hold materials together at the proper spacing to assure the drywall will fit.

Intervention


Worker created a fixture he places on the door jamb, holding materials together at the proper spacing, thus eliminating the need for measuring and clamps.

Scraps of steel studs and gypsum board.
