Task
8-10 foot pipe must be moved from where it was delivered to its point of installation.
Exposure
Normally the pipe would be moved manually or from the floor to a low dolly, resulting in awkward posture and forceful exertion.
Intervention Process
The crew modified a Rubbermaid © utility cart by installing unistrut stair brackets at all four corners to provide a secured surface to place the pipe for ease of movement. The height of the cart also raises the material to a good working height, off the floor eliminating the need to bend over to pick it up.
Materials
Both the cart and brackets were on site for other uses.
