Task
This worker is attaching a small box to the side of a piece of duct prior to installing the duct into the ceiling.
Exposure
The height of the duct and the point of operation found the worker working with her elbow above shoulder height in an awkward posture.
Intervention Process
Through ergonomic training the worker learned that awkward postures are to be avoided as much as possible. Here a simple reminder caused her to grasp the screw gun in a different but safe manner to accomplish the task at hand resulting in the elbow moving into a more neutral posture.
Materials
Basic training/knowledge of risk factors that contribute to musculoskeletal injuries.
