Task
Reseating pedestal head is necessary when pedestals are shortened.
Exposure
Many times the RMF tile pedestals need to be shortened which requires cutting off part of the column and then resetting the head into the column resulting in forceful exertion and repetitive motion using a sledge hammer.
Intervention Process
This fixture was built to hold the pedestal column upside down on top of the pedestal
head. The hydraulic jack, located at the base of the fixture, is then activated pushing the head back into the pedestal column.. This eliminates all force or extreme repetition on the part of the worker.
Materials
Materials specific to the fixture design.
