One of the most important goals of the National Summit on Contractor Safety, October 2006 was to identify and prioritize areas where additional data, knowledge, effective practices, and research would contribute to reducing fatalities and serious injuries among contract workers. Summit participants shared their knowledge and expertise to help create a research agenda that served as guidance for the work that followed. The results of a ranking priority straw poll of Summit participants are shown below. Summit participants were asked to rank in order of importance a number of issues identified during the Summit.
